When opening Omnis Rehab, I wanted to offer services to people that they may not receive at other clinics. I wanted to approach care from multiple angles, Chiropractic, Physical Therapy, Massage, etc… and try to uncover the problem and not just treat symptoms.
One option that I definitely wanted was laser treatment. Laser is commonly used in high level athletes for recovery and soft tissue injuries to keep them healthy throughout their playing season. Laser also has its place for the everyday person with typical aches and pains that come with life.
What is laser therapy? Laser therapy, and more specifically K-Laser therapy, delivers specific red and near infrared wavelengths of laser light to induce a therapeutic effect within the body. These include increased circulation, decreased swelling, reduction of pain and enhanced tissue repair. It also draws oxygen and nutrients to the affected area creating an optimal healing environment.
So who can benefit from K-Laser therapy? K-Laser therapy can help most musculoskeletal conditions. Commonly treated injuries include: post surgery rehabilitation, tendinopathies, carpal tunnel, trigger points, sprain/strains, plantar fasciitis, rheumatoid arthritis and any sports, work, or auto injuries. Another group that can benefit from K-Laser therapy are pain management patients. In my last clinic I treated patients daily who received pain medications and injections on a regular basis. These treatments definitely have their time and place, but they are used too often. K-Laser provides a drug free, surgery free solution to add to their pain management plan.
If you have any questions about K-Laser treatment, please call and come into the clinic. Also checkout the K-Laser website.
